Cannes, the city full of glamor, red carpet, champagne and fast sports cars also has a quiet side. Just walk past the harbor and turn right on the sea road, towards Mandelieu and Theoule. Here you will find the Croix de Garde and La Bocca neighborhoods. The beach restaurants here are a bit more relaxed and do not show off with the most expensive champagne at the entrance.

A wonderful beach day is here available to everyone; lots of public beach for free, so bring your sunglasses and hat, some slippers and sunscreen. And fortunately, from June 15, you will not have to walk endlessly on your tongs through Cannes to come here; Just step in the free shuttle bus to the Boccacabana beaches.

The municipality of Cannes is rebuilding the beautiful and unknown piece of beach and seawall at Cannes Midi and Cannes la Bocca, which will eventually create a beautiful sandstrip called Boccabana, to the almost identical sand strip Coppa Cabana in Rio de Janeiro. The narrow alley where joggers, hikers and dogs regularly collide will be turned into a larger space with special areas for joggers and strollers, a cycling track and a special shuttle bus connection with the heart of Cannes. The artist impression looks beautiful; we can enjoy already this summer a first part. The work will continue during autumn and winter. After the summer, the free Boccacabana bus line is included in the Palm Express line.
