For homeowners of luxury villas, an alarm system is a regular thing. You turn the alarm system off when you enter. And when you leave, you turn the system back on. In your home, you have cameras with motion detectors and all windows and doors are equipped with ignition locks. If there is a break-in, you will receive a notification, and depending on the alarm centre, someone will come and take a look. After three false alarms from a spider walking across the lens, you are no longer high on the priority list.
Artificial Intelligence as an alarm system, how does it work?
Strangely enough, many break-ins take place when the residents are at home. The family is enjoying a wonderful afternoon around the pool at the back of the villa. While they are laughing, someone slips in at the front of the villa. The alarm system is off, so it does not detect anything. You only notice it when your car keys have disappeared. Or worse.
The AI powered alarm system of the future
The Synaedge alarm system takes your existing alarm system to the next level. The AI system reads all camera feeds and analyses the situation at lightning speed. In case of a serious alarm, camera recordings of the incident are shared with a local 24-hour manned alarm centre. They can then take immediate action.
Synaedge uses AI to scan all of your home’s residents, allowing you to walk around your home without any problems while the system is on. The security team draws up a camera plan that specifies which cameras should always be on, such as in the garage or at the safe. You can ‘tag’ valuable items so that any unintended movement is signalled.
You can also open doors with facial recognition, a fingerprint or a QR code (great for rental properties). Or open the garage door automatically when your car and license plate are recognised. If your estate is on the waterfront, the sea is difficult to control with its constant movement. Only when someone sets foot on land can a camera detect a person. But then they are already at a fence.
Radar detection
With Synaedge, you can install a radar around your house that, for example, monitors the access to your waterfront property from the sea. If the boat is not identified as yours and someone sails into your bay and gets too close to shore, a camera is activated, or the AI system launches a drone with a camera. These images are sent directly to the alarm centre, which can take action.
Personal safety
Most accidents happen at home. Imagine you fall or suddenly become unconscious. The AI system recognizes you as a resident and can trigger an alarm if you remain motionless on the floor. If the camera detects someone falling or collapsing, the security command center or personal security team will be informed and given access to the video stream to check what has happened.
Depending on the camera model, the command centre can speak to the person lying down and ask if everything is alright. If there is no response, emergency services will be contacted right away. Additionally, the system can detect potentially dangerous situations, such as the presence of weapons, and trigger an alarm instantly.
Maintenance of your villa
Not everyone has a caretaker living at their house. The AI concierge system can use cameras to detect smoke and fire significantly earlier than conventional smoke detectors. The SceneChange feature captures even the most minor changes, up to large-scale events. It also identifies spilt coffee, leaks, and large amounts of water. In the garden, for example, it can detect fallen branches after storms.
